Nimal is a best selling masterpiece novel written by renowned Urdu novelist Nimra Ahmed. After being published monthly by Women’s Digest in 2014, it was finally published in book form in 2017 by Aalam Wa Irfan Publishers.
The name “Nimal” comes from a Surah of the Qur’an and means “ant”. The plot of this novel can be divided into several parts as it deals with different social issues simultaneously. But if you look at the main idea, it revolves around a multiple murder case. According to the author, the events of the story are inspired by the murder case of Shahzeb Khan and Kamran Faisal (NAB officer).
Let’s talk about the story and characters of the novel – An intelligence officer, Faris Ghazi, who is the protagonist of the story, is convicted of murdering his half-brother, his wife and attempting to kill Zimar Yusuf. . However, her nephew is convinced of her innocence and files a case to defend her and get her out of jail. The story of murder and revenge begins the day Faris comes out of prison.
