ساری دنیا ایک طرف اور یہ لڑکا ایک طرف ۔ منگنی کروا کے تو گویا ہم پر احسان کررہا ہے ۔ تائی جان واقعی عاجز دیکھائی دے رہی تھیں ۔ ”سب دکھاوا ہے تائی جان ! موصوف دل وجان بلکہ جگرو پھیپھڑوں سمیت اس منگنی پر راضی ہیں ۔ یہ صرف اہمیت بڑھانے کی ادائیں ہیں جو ہر بات پر ناک بھوں چڑھائی جارہی ہے ۔ ” ضحٰی نے چاہے کا کپ ان کی طرف بڑھاتے ہوئے حتیقت آشکار کی تو چچی جان نے تفکر سے پوچھا۔
”اب کیا کہ رہا ہے وہ ”
وہی بے کار کی ضد کے منگنی کا سارا انتظام کسی میرج ہال یا پھر لان میں ہونا چاہیے ۔ تائی جان نے بے زاری سے کہا تو ضحٰی کو استعجاب نے آگھیرا ۔ گھر کا لان تو انہیں پسند نہیں ۔ پھر یہ مرغزار کے لان کی فرمائش کریں کیوں ؟؟
اس سوال کا جواب تائی جان نے تو البتہ عماد کے ساتھ اندر داخل ہوتے اس نے خود خاصے شاہانہ انداز میں دیا تھا ۔ ” لڑکی پسند کرنے سے لے کر اب تک ان لوگوں نے مجھے کسی مشرقی دوشیزہ کی طرح چپ رکھا ہے ۔لیکن اب میں صاحب اقتدار ہوں ۔ لہٰذا میری ہر بات مانی جانی چاہئے ۔
”حالانکہ صاحب کردار ہوتے تو زیادہ مانی جاتی ۔ عماد کے کڑوے کریلے جیسے لقمے نے ضحٰی کو بہت محظوظ کیا تھا ۔ “
ایسے ہوتے ہیں آستین کے سانپ ۔ انس نے کشن اٹھا کر عماد کو دے مارا تھا۔ پھر اٹل انداز میں بولا ۔ تم لوگ کچھ بھی کہوں لیکن میں کسی بھی قیمت پر گھر میں یہ تقریب نہیں کروانا چاہتا ۔ اور میں کہیں بھی نہیں ہونے دینا چاہتا ۔مگر وائے قسمت ‘عماد نے آہ بھری ۔
آخر تمہیں اعتراض کیوں ہے منگنی کی تقریب گھر میں کرنے پر ؟؟ چچی جان ان سب کی غیر سنجیدگی سے سخت الرجک تھیں ۔ سوانہوں نے فورا بات کو آصل موضوع کی طرف پلٹا تو انس نے بڑے تاسف سے دیکھا جیسے ان سے کھبی اس سوال کی توقع ہی نہ رہی ہو ۔
